Bolex 8mm Film Splicer (cement)
The Bolex splicer is suitable for Normal 8 and Super 8 film. It makes bevelled-edged splies which are transported through the projector far better than the traditional stepped splices. This is particularly important for sound films.
The Bolex splicer is an extremely high quality instrument which ensures precise alignment of the film and accuracy of perforation pitch. After considerable use the scraper blades may become less sharp, in which case they can be replaced easily by any official Bolex distributor.
If required, the splicer can be screwed to a base or table by using the holes provided for this purpose. However, if this is done, the screws must not be tightened too much.
